The airport has successfully completed 10 days of commercial operations
The airport has handled around 1,90,000 passengers consisting of 30,000 international and 1,60,000 domestic passengers.
2448 Air Traffic Movements (1224 landings and 1224 take offs) were handled.
British Airways Representatives visited the airport today and were very happy with the infrastructure and other facilities including office space etc. As has been announced earlier, British Airways will be commencing its Hyderabad – London operations by Boeing-777 Aircraft from 27th October, 2008 with five frequencies per week, 274 seats in two configure i.e., Business and Economy classes.
GMR – RGIA Help Line (1800 102 2008) has been getting many calls from passengers appreciating the airport, facilities, its ambiance and the services. Ms. Chandrika Sireesha who arrived by MH199 Malaysian Airlines on March 25th 2008 mentioned that the airport has given her great feeling and ambiance is excellent.
In addition, the helpline has been helping passengers in finding their lost luggage. Mr. Rambabu who arrived by Emirate Airlines on 28th March, 2008 thanked and appreciated the efforts taken in tracing back his baggage through the efforts of GMR Executives and Call Centre.
