Award of Contract - ALS and PTB:
The contracts for the Airside and Landside (ALS) Works and Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) Works for the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad have been awarded.
Award of ALS Works Contract:
The contract for the ALS Works has been awarded to Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T).
Scope of works for the ALS Works contract is as follows,

Runway, taxiway and aprons to accommodate wide body aircraft including the new generation aircrafts such as A380, |

Aviation hydrant system, roads, drainage system, security fence and gates, |
 |
Airfield ground lighting system, fire station and equipment, |
 |
Cargo terminal building, ground handling workshops and other miscellaneous buildings. |

| The contract amount is approximately Rs.495 Crores.

Scope of works for the PTB Works is as follows,

Contract Duration for ALS and PTB Works:
The total construction period is for 30 months, of which 27 months is for construction and 3 months is for airport operational trials and certification.

Indian Embassies were contacted to alert international contractors and |

Responses were received from 35 companies from 12 countries |

7 Tenderers qualified for ALS works and 6 for PTB works based on both technical and financial capability |

After an intensive tender period the contracts were awarded to L&T for ALS and to CSCEHK for PTB |

About Hyderabad International Airport Limited (HIAL):
Promoters:
HIAL is joint venture company promoted by GMR Group (63%), Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad (11%), Government of Andhra Pradesh (13%) and Airports Authority of India (13%) to develop the new airport at Shamshabad.
The GMR Group won the mandate to develop the project, which was conducted through an international competitive bidding process conducted by Government of Andhra Pradesh and Government of India. This project is being developed under a Public Private Partnership Initiative.
