| GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Ltd, has awarded advertisement services management contract to Laqshya Media Pvt Ltd (Laqshya). This contract is for a seven-year period.
In the pre-operation term, Laqshya will be preparing a master plan that includes in- terminal advertising and out door advertising facility with concept designs, themes and location planning etc for advertising at the airport. As per the agreement, Laqshya shall operate, manage and maintain the advertisements by offering the locations to prospective clients/third parties for the advertisement.
Laqshya has been the selected bidder from among several other renowned international names through a highly transparent and competitive bidding process, a release said. The company has been selected on the technical and financial criteria including experience, expertise, capability and knowhow in advertising business.
All the display units installed shall be consistent with architecture and design of the airport and of a high quality.
All the advertising, signages, advertising messages would be located inside and outside the terminal building.
Speaking about this contract, T Srinagesh, chief operating officer, GHIAL said:
"Advertising is a key component to an airport look and feel. It also enhances the passenger experience along with those retail, food and beverage."
To recall, the airport is accustomed to handle 12 million passengers per annum. The total project cost is Rs 2,478 crore.
