GHIAL launches aeroexpress bus service from HITEC City to Airport

New RGIA Toll-Free Number to 1800-419-2008 from June 1, 2008
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is now connected with HITEC City with the introduction of aeroexpress bus service. Passengers from the IT hub at HITEC City and adjoining areas at Kukatpally, Kondapur, Madhapur, Miyapur, Gachibowli and Jubilee Hills can now avail of these services at the shelter located opposite Silparamam. The first bus service will start from 10.30 a.m. on June 1, 2008.

Commenting on the introduction of the service, Mr. A. Viswanath, Chief Commercial Officer, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, said "Based on customer feedback from passengers; we have started the service catering to the requirements of the large IT community and passengers in these areas to the airport. We are constantly striving to improve passenger experience and this is another step in that direction."

The key features of aeroexpress buses are:

  • Fare of Rs. 95, inclusive of taxes
  • Non-stop service between Airport and HITEC
  • Frequency of 30 minutes from 3.30 am to 11.30 pm and 1 hr from 11.30 pm to 3.30 am.

Currently, aeroexpress buses are connecting Rajiv Gandhi International Airport with four important destinations in twin cities for the convenience of airline passengers and visitors. These places are:

  • Keyes High School, Secunderabad
  • Paryatak Bhavan, Begumpet
  • Sarojini Devi Hospital, Mehdipatnam
  • City College, Charminar

Toll-Free Helpline:

The RGIA Toll-Free number is changed to 1800-419-2008 with effect from 00:01 hours on June 01, 2008. All calls made to the existing helpline number 1800-102-2008 will be transferred to the new number for a smooth transition.
